Why…
…Must you be $158?
You should know by now that seminary students can’t buy clothes that cost that much.
Yet, I still like you, with your peachy, lovely pleats, and bow that reminds me of my wedding gown.
Praying for a discount, into the wish list she goes.
“Fiiiiiive Dresses”
This little snippet used to be in my “About” page. But it was getting a little crowded in there, so I edited. Those of us who are apologetically verbose need to do that every now and again. Or daily. But anyways, this here story has been somewhere on my blog since its inception (can’t write that word without thinking about Leo… Was he dreaming the whole time? Or was she? Or was I? Whoa, maybe it should be “Apologetically Digressive…”) For posterity, I post it now.
True Story:
I have always had a major weakness/love for clothes and fashion in general, which is one of the passions that prompted the beginning of this blog. I’m pretty sure it’s a disease I’ve had from birth. On an old home video, my mother is recorded saying to my grandma, “Guess what Megan asked for for her fourth birthday?” You can hear my grandma in the crackly, VHS background replying inquisitively. My mom, mimicking my little voice, held up her open hand, and said, “Fiiiiiive dresses.” Straight out the womb I tell you!
Nature? Nurture? Or necklaces? I may never know.
Fresh Cut Wishes
Anthropologie has some lovely fresh cuts (items newly on sale) this week. I really enjoy these large wooden beads-which are supposed to resemble flower petals- with the organic frill of the cloth flower. Plus, the name: ”Love Me, Love Me Not.” Sweetly Classic.
These shoes are like nothing I own, but they’re different and fresh. Like a mix between a bootie and a peep-toe, though the toe is not what’s peeping… Very cute. I greatly enjoy their peanut color.
These items make me even more delighted that Spring is here.
Into the Wish List they go…

Today
Today is a faded, black, stretchy, exercise pants kinda day.
I was only going to tweet this, but in efforts to visit my blog more often I will post it here too.
I’m an all-or-nothing kind of girl (a trait I have been hoping is just a phase, but this phase is strangely ever-present, despite time passing by.) So generally, if I don’t have time for a full post concerning something directly relating to my Chic Paupette transformation, I don’t write anything. After emailing with a blogger/web designer I love and highly respect concerning where I want this site to go, she encouraged me with some great advice. Since that darn masters degree is my (nemesis, I mean…) priority and suctions time into an abyss, I will just post smaller snippets than originally planned. When I can, I’ll post longer ones full of photography and redundant digressions. Plus, isn’t that what a blog is supposed to be? A flow of your life onto the world wide web, sharing with others the sometimes exciting, sometimes annoying, sometimes mundane happenings of life? I’m still learning about all this, and so will just write as I am able. Gee, I probably didn’t even have to explain any of this to you. You know what a blog is! It’s just that, I’m weird. That’s all.
I think as a result, you, my beloved 2.9 readers, will probably be less mentally unhinged that way anyways.
What kind of apparel day is it for you?
